Cherry Blossoms of Japan in 2011
53In the Spring of 2011, my friend and I had the priveledge of going to Japan. During our stay in Japan, we were able to see the full bloom of sakura (cherry blossoms) and even attend a hanami party (cherry blossom viewing party in the park).

Our trip was just 2 weeks after the major earthquakes and tsunami in Japan. The sakura blossoms brought people a lot of joy and it was great to see people in such high spirits even in the face of disaster.
I plan to visit Japan again next year; I can't wait!
